NEW Günter Gerngross • Herbert Puchta Easy to teach and fun to learn
Welcome to New Hooray! Let’s play! is a an exciting three-level course for Pre-primary with a multitude of fun and stimulating activities for pupils to enjoy. The series takes a unique multisensory approach and is suitable for all pre-school classrooms learning English, regardless of the number of hours or lessons per week. It meets the demands of teachers who wish to focus on pupils’ oral ability in English to avoid hampering the process of literacy in their mother tongue. New Hooray! Let’s play! was designed as a complete oral course with a linguistic level of medium to high, but if teachers prefer to include some reading or writing, the extra material can be used for support. Oral approach Four delightful animal characters encourage an open, inclusive and positive attitude towards other people and cultures and underline key social values, such as friendship and helping one another. Value-based stories The stimulating activities in New Hooray! Let’s play! ensure pupils have fun as they learn to keep them motivated and ever curious about the new language. Extra features, such as a website with interactive resources, also encourage pupils to continue the learning process at home whilst envolving the family in the child’s learning. Learning through play New Hooray! Let’s play! is innovative and flexible, and the different components can be mixed and matched to meet every teaching style, class profile, objectives or number of sessions. There are three workable options: the complete pack including the Student’s Book along with the Activities and Projects Book; the stand-alone Student’s Book, or the Activities and Projects Book as a self-contained tool in combination with the use of the Teacher’s i-solutions. Flexibility New Hooray! Let’s play! inspires pupils to play together, work cooperatively and resolve conflicts whilst learning to respond with actions and reproduce key language. Together, these skills help pupils to develop essential strengths, such as self-esteem, confidence and mental stamina. Social, emotional and spatial skills The unique multisensory approach offers pupils the chance to explore, discover and enjoy themselves whilst using multiple areas of their brain. This systematic approach helps them to build up neural connections, and as such develop their critical thinking skills. Core thinking skills Key features of New Hooray! Let’s play!
