Spanish participation in Argo Spain’s participation in Argo began in 2002. In 2006 the European Union started the development of the Euro-Argo project, which currently contributes to the maintenance of one third of the network. Since 2017, Spain has been a full member of the project. At the beginning of 2022, it has 24 active buoys and has recorded 13 349 profiles.
