What are invertebrates like? INVERTEBRATES do not have an internal skeleton with bones. Most invertebrates are oviparous. There are many different groups. INSECTS are the largest group of invertebrates. They have six legs and two antennae. Most have wings, like bees. Others, like ants, do not have wings. Jellyfish have a soft body with tentacles. Snails have a hard shell to protect their bodies.
